Daily Forum speaker, Bob Jones, spurs Sport Aircraft sales with his lessons on how to trailer an aircraft successfully.
Bob Jones, Kitfox owner, has trailered his plane for 10 years all over the country so he can fly anywhere. Explained Bob, “I spoke about how to put an LSA inside a trailer, by folding the wings back without beating up your plane. I had my trailer with my plane inside to demonstrate how it works. Four people told me they were going to buy a plane because of this instructional forum.”

SEBRING
Though it had been almost 70 years since Marvin Goldberg flew in a B-17 bomber, the experience remained familiar when he traveled in one to the Sebring Regional Airport on Friday.
When the plane's engines started, he recalled those were the sounds he heard as a pilot of a B-17 during World War II.
His hour flight from New Smyrna Beach was part of the Wings of Freedom Tour sponsored by the Collings Foundation. The nonprofit was formed to educate people about transportation and how it affects their lives, according to the foundation website. The foundation sponsors a tour of WWII planes including a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, a Consolidated B-24 Liberator and a P-51 Mustang fighter, which was named the Betty Jane, the same name as Goldberg's wife.
One of the stops for the tour was the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo, which continues through today.
Goldberg's...

Expo 2013 Testimonials
“We debuted our first Sport Cub this year at Expo, and sold two planes. Plus, the press we received was great, lots of interviews…”
Kathy Davis, Marketing Manager, CubCrafters
“We came away very happy from the Expo this year. We had very qualified customers come to our booth, gave a lot of demo flights, sold 2 CTLSi to people at the show and set up a new distributor for Northern New England. The Sebring Expo is the right balance between a trade show for professionals and a fun air-show for the public. Great thanks to the volunteers and the staff.”
Tom Peghiny, Flight Design USA
“Lots of good leads. Liked the layout.”
Shawn Okun, CEO, FPNA
“Exceeded my expectations. Had a lot of interest particularly because Sonex represents the home-builts.”
John Monnett, President, Sonex
"Thanks for another great show. It was a pleasure working with you again."
