Exhibitors, Sponsors, Media and Local Officials Reception: Wednesday, January 19, 2011 the Expo Staff will host a reception at Sebring Regional Airport terminal. This event is to recognize those who make this event possible, those in the LSA business and to our sponsors. It will be casual and admission is by ticket only. In keeping with honoring our veterans, the theme of this year’s reception is “Wednesday Evening at the USO”. Music will be provided by Gary Filip, legendary Chicago piano bar entertainer. Check out his website at www.garyfilipmusic.com. Gary will be joined by vocalist Marti Catodiferro.
Volunteer Recognition Dinner: The Expo staff will hold a dinner, sponsored by Sweetbay Supermarket on Friday January 21, 2010 to recognize those without whom the event could not be held. The theme of the dinner will be “Friday Night at the USO”. The purpose is to recognize those who have volunteered their time and effort to make the Expo a success. A dinner ticket will be provided to each volunteer. Music provided by Gary Filip. Gary will be joined by vocalist Marti Catodiferro. The speaker will be Walt Troyer, a long-time aviation enthusiast, pilot and plane re-builder. Dinner to be in the LAMA Tent, sponsored by AeroShell
LAMA Dinner and Meeting: At this, the largest gathering of LSA professionals anywhere, LAMA will host a dinner and meeting on Thursday, January 20, 2011. This dinner is sponsored by Aviators Hotline, an outstanding publication which provides continual support for LAMA and the US Sport Aviation Expo. Guest speaker will be Craig Fuller, AOPA President. Contact Aviators Hotline to be included. RSVP required. Dinner to be in the LAMA tent, sponsored by AeroShell.
Breakfast for Exhibitors: A “Paris Sidewalk Café” Breakfast for Exhibitors will be the theme of the Sebring Airport Authority’s booth at the Expo. A delicious Quiche or Continental Breakfast will be served daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. This delicious and exciting event wil be catered by Peppercorns, a great place in Lake Placid. Exhibitors, we look forward to seeing you at the Café!!
RAFFLE: The Expo will conduct a raffle during the event. Grand prize is a Garmin GPSMap696. Other prizes include limited edition prints by James Dietz and Randy Green, values up to $175. Tickets will be on sale in a special raffle booth near the main gate. Drawing will be at noon on Sunday, January 23. You do not have to be present to win.
Freedom Flight 2011: At 11:00 AM on Friday, January 21, 2011 , Freedom Flight 2011 tour in support of Able Flight’s scholarships for wounded veterans will arrive at the Expo. The purpose of the Tour is to meet with wounded veterans to let them know of this unique opportunity. Check out www.ableflight.org.
