General:

The US Sport Aviation Expo is a new and unique event. It is totally focused on Light Sport Aircraft and the Sport Pilot certificate. It is a business-type event, set up to enable people who are interested in this new category of planes to conduct business. That is, they can buy and sell planes, set up business relationships and seek a location at which they want to do business. We totally depend on volunteers to enable us to conduct the event. At this event a person can learn about LSA, compare about everything available in the LSA market, select a plane, get a demonstration ride, find financing, arrange insurance, get transition training and fly his/her new plane home. Over the past 5 years, literally hundreds of planes have been sold at the event.

Your contribution of time and effort will enable us to present an event benefitting all interested in aviation. We are seeking people who can volunteer for a few hours or a few days. What you will do depends on what you want to do. Volunteer activities vary from assisting exhibitors, selling tickets, working on hospitality and about anything you might expect. You do not have to be a pilot to help, just a desire to be involved in this Highlands County event.

As we have been doing this for five years, we have a corps of people who have volunteered in the past, but we are always seeking new faces.

YOUR REWARDS:

These will include a combination of an entry wrist-band, parking pass, unique volunteer items such as a t-shirt and cap or visor. We also host a volunteer dinner on Friday evening. This normally includes a well-known speaker along with music and door prizes. And most of all, you will be involved in an event that is fun for all, including the volunteers!!
